Tyra was my first client to kick off the new year! Ladies she was such a joy to have at my new hair studio. I was so excited to create a beautiful new look for Tyra!

Now, Tyra requested in her free online consultation that none of her hair be left out, she wanted ALL of her hair braided up. Please take a look at how perfectly closed her sewn-in weave was installed!

Tyra was so pleased with her hair too, she drove to my  San Mateo location all the way from Sacramento, CA.

I'm back from my first cruise to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico I had so much fun! I met so many nice people on the ship here are some photo's I'd like to share with everyone.

At 40 I feel great! who knew that I would get to travel and experience new beginnings in 2011 it's been fun. As I patiently wait for my new website to launch I can only dream of how GOD will Bless Me with his Favor of Abundance, Protection and Peace on Divastyleshair.com. I feel so excited for this day to come soon!!

While in L.A. I checked out a few salons in Culver City,CA that look pretty nice, oh and as for my new location in the Bay Area it looks like San Mateo,CA will be my new home. I feel it's a awesome  location with San Francisco airport just minutes away! My plans for 2012 will be to work in both L.A. and S.F. bay area servicing new client's in California, then eventually getting back to becoming a traveling stylist again!

I've been on a hiatus for almost 1 year now, many of you have tried to book your hair appointments. However, I've been taking some much needed time off in order to make a awesome comeback!! It's been a journey of "New Beginnings" for sure!

Let's see in the past year or so I've traveled alot in fact I've often felt like a Gypsy lol..

I can only trust that everything happens for a reason  and this is GOD's way of healing me from my past...

While away I've traveled to the "The ATL" Atlanta, GA I've been told that I could do what I do

very successfully in Atlanta, however I just didn't think the south was for me. My favorite part of Atlanta was a church I attended for sure I would go back in a heartbeat! The people where very outgoing, funny, and friendly they reminded me alot of L.A.

My next stop was Portland, OR / Vancouver,WA I landed there due to a much needed family reunion. It was nice to spend time with my folks now while spending 8 months in the Pacific Northwest I took a job at a barbershop which I enjoyed working with men for a change...Thank "GOD" I have a multitude of skills to fall back on for sure! Vancouver, WA is so beautiful I worked with some pretty cool hairstylist/barbers that surprised me with a party!

I felt so grateful to work with them and to be missed by them...

I was born in San Jose, CA so I've always wanted to see what I may have missed out on in Northern Cali with hopes of finding my niche to do what I do! I'm currently looking for a up-scale salon in Northern Cali to work in I think it will be in the peninsula area!!

To my L.A. client's I do plan to get back home for sure my " 40th" birthday is in two weeks! I'll be going on my first cruise, I do plan to look into some salons to freelance at and get back to doing what I do!! ( CREATING DIVA'S IS WHAT I DO) holla!

GOD willing my goal is to set up two locations to service my Cali Diva's!!

Are you ready for your hair to be done right?

I received a call from a potential client who just so happen to be from L.A.

While speaking with her on the phone, I asked her a series of questions about

her experience with stylist in Portland vs. L.A. "Hey inquiring minds wanted to know"!

She was very informative with lot's of experience in searching for a stylist to give her what she paid for..And she even said although, she is willing to pay for good service, plus offer a generous tip, she often feels like you still may not get what you pay for...

Now, this caller is a professional women who has been very frustrated/disappointed with how her hair looks after she has paid $600.00 just for Virgin Indian Remy hair. Here's my thoughts about this subject, although we have been in a recession for 3 years now....Apparently women are still able to purchase quality Virgin Indian Remy hair right!!!! Okay, but then there's stylist out here messing up the game with their lack of giving client's quality work! Now what is wrong with this picture?? she was charged $200.00 for her install and not satisfied, in fact she called the stylist to fix the problem as soon as she got home..HOW SAD!!

Amazing right! well the stylist decides to charge her $100.00 more for a problem that she should fix at no charge!!! So my question is this...Do women realize that when you give your business to stylist that are unsatisfactory you pay MORE MONEY!! And waste your time....

That's Right Ladies!!

WAKE UP !! REALIZE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IS ALL I'M SAYING!!

Easter Weekend in the Pacific Northwest

Easter weekend was absolutely beautiful! Although I've relocated to the N.W. two months ago I'm making adjustments with ALL the rain these days...LOL I heard story's about the rain and overcast days, but I couldn't image that it would rain this much!

What a big difference from living in Las Vegas, Arizona, and Cali... Well I'm sure with time I'll get use to the rainy climate soon..One of the things I was MOST shocked about was my hair stays straight even if  I forget to bring my umbrella...I was really impressed see  that my hair would hold up with a Flat Iron/ Press!!

Ladies, in the Pacific Northwest you need to find out about Divastyles.com because I'm sure they are under the impression that their hair would just revert back if they went to a stylist to have it professionally flat ironed.I'm sure in a short period of time the news will spread about my services and my technique of making sure your hair last and stays straight without any relaxers or keratin blow-out straighteners.


I'm accepting new client's in the Pacific Northwest now! So please tell your friends if they have naturally curly hair and would like to wear it straight for a special occasion, I also offer roller sets styles too if you are uncomfortable with having your hair blow dry straight.



The Pacific Northwest is so beautiful! And the people seem very genuine too!

Homeless A Year Ago Today 1/26/11 Good Bye Las Vegas!!!

I survived the hardest relationship of my life!

A year ago today my life was at it's lowest point no doubt! Many viewer's witness my YouTube documentary on how I was homeless for 2 weeks 2 days with my dog named Dior...

Well, let me first start off saying I choose to walk away from a man who was very abusive!! I'm sure viewer's were shocked to see I had the guts to do such a thing, let alone record my struggles. In my mind it was something GOD wanted me to do in order to surrender to him.

So I was obedient to GOD and let me share with you, he gave me Mercy & Grace to walk away! Although it was the hardest test of my life lesson's for sure as I walked in my Faith that GOD would carry me through his assignment I put him first in my quest to be an instructor at Euphoria Institute. Each day was a struggle to learn to teach cosmetology, my first class was my biggest challenge when dealing with ungrateful/disrespectful students. I prayed for them and stayed strong in my walk with GOD.

My second group of students were a joy to have, we would spend our days learning and laughing the perfect combination for real! We had so much fun the word began to travel throughout the school..Then of course that's just when the "Hater's" come out right!! Boy oh boy did I collect them haters like Katt Williams would say OMG!! I must have been doing something right huh...

Now here's my favorite part of this blog!! My third class was the most talented of them ALL we had a ball with our assignments Mohawk Day,Wizard Of Oz, 80's Day,Top Model Day etc. I was so proud of these group of ladies! They stretched my teaching abilities like no one else could, and I LOVE them for the challenge!!

Last but not least is my fourth class although I only spent two weeks with this class I must say they were so grateful to have me as their instructor which made me feel special for sure! They surprised me with a going away party and it made all of my bitter sweet days at Euphoria Institute worth while.

As I continue to move forward in my journey of life I will always remember to put GOD first and LOVE MYSELF!!!!!!

My has time changed for my career..

It was the summer of 1999 when the nickname "Diva" was given to me by "Linda Blair". I must have really impressed her and also the band members of "S Club 7" back in those days. Who knew a nickname with such great power and impact would come to a end...

What a honor to have earned a powerful name based on the level of my "God" given talent to do hair so awesome! It's been a nice journey with alot of adversity that was inherited with that name attached to me..

I've been tested for sure over the last 11 years, and I do plan to write a tell all book about the ups & downs of my career someday!

As I enter a "New Cycle" of my life, a dear friend of mine made my wish come true. I have been feeling trapped and stuck for the past 2 years while trying to "Keep My Dream Alive" I am now "Set Free" Amen!

I would like to introduce myself as "Robbi Milan" this is my new legal name that I have chosen for myself.

WOW!! " A New Client"

I would like to feature a new client by the name of Christel. OMG! just when I gave up HOPE for attracting AWESOME client's. She appeared to my surprise even though we never spoke on the phone, Christel had complete TRUST that I was the stylist to create a new look for her!


Christel found me on "You Tube" then she reviewed my website and emailed me her photo's of her hairline & styles that she would like to achieve.I replied back to her right away and gave her a FREE online consultation. Christel booked her appointment right away a whole month before her appointment.


Once she emailed her pictures I noticed she had alopecia, I  recommended the package #3 to create the hairstyle of the photo's she submitted. She also asked about keeping a 1 year commitment to restore and grow her hair back.The day of her appointment I gave her alot of information about how to reduce stress and restore her hair back to health. I also created a closure made with Indian Hair for her, Ms. Christel hair came out beautiful!!


Ladies, take a look at her before and after photo's! Christel was a JOY to create a new look for, she put a big smile on my face all day! I told my students about her and showed them her pictures. Before she left the salon she was getting so many compliments by other stylist!
